Year 10 Portfolio Interviews

 

Dear Parents and Carers,

Tumbi Umbi Campus hosts annual portfolio interviews for its Year 10 students to provide valuable experience in regards to career preparation and interviewing skills. We are excited to say that we are still able to go ahead with the portfolio interviews in 2020.

Members of the local business and education communities will conduct the interviews in the Tumbi Umbi Campus iCentre. Students are expected to prepare for their interview by finalising their digital portfolio and by considering possible answers regarding their skills and future pathways. Professional attire is expected to be worn, which can  include proper school uniform if necessary. Interviews will last for approximately 20 minutes.

 

Your child is required to attend their interview on one of these dates in Week 7: Day 1 - Wednesday 25th November

Day 2 - Thursday 26th November Day 3 - Friday 27th November

The students will be notified by Mrs Carpenter of their specific interview time before Week 7. Please note that students will not attend the campus or regular classes on  these three days. They are only required to attend for their interview window.

 

As an exciting development in the up-skilling of our students, Year 10 will be presenting their portfolios digitally in 2020. Students are asked to arrive at the TUC iCentre 15 minutes prior to their scheduled window so that they may log into a laptop and access their portfolio. Students who have not yet created a digital portfolio are to arrange to  bring a paper copy of their resume instead.

The interview process will adhere to strict Covid-19 protocols including social distancing, readily-available hand sanitiser and wipes, and individual cleaning of  equipment between interviews.
