A school, like all organisations, is the sum of its parts, and all those parts make their own contribution to the culture, the climate and the reputation of the campus.

Uniform identifies our students as members of the campus. We have the highest priority to student safety and welfare and if all students are in school uniform it assists us to identify any intruder.

Enrolment at this campus is the start of a path to a bright future should you choose to belong to the campus and accept and strive to meet its high expectations. It is easy to say that you support the campus but actions speak louder than words.

The best way to show belonging is by following our code of behaviour and uniform policy. Both have been developed in consultation with the students and community and reflect a willingness on the part of students to:

learn by participating in all aspects of campus life
show pride in themselves, their peers and their community
contribute to maintaining the high expectations of this campus and its community
behave in a way that earns respect from peers, teachers, family, and community.

Our school uniform

TLSC - Tumbi Umbi Campus is a uniform campus. This reflects the beliefs and values of our community. Wearing uniform offers many benefits in that it:

ensures students are seen as members of this campus
ensures students are seen as equals
builds a sense of belonging
shows the student is prepared to be at campus
offers an easy way to identify our students and any person who should not be on campus grounds
offers students training for the workplace where many workplaces require a set uniform at all times
is cheaper and longer wearing than many fashion items.

Away from campus, either on daily excursions or travelling to and from campus, the uniform is also a form of child protection. As part of the process of enrolling at TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus, students and their parent/caregivers are made aware that this is a uniform campus.
