A welcome message from our principal, Elizabeth Bate.
It is with great pleasure and pride that I welcome you to Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College (TLSC) Tumbi Umbi Campus website as we share with you a snippet of what we provide for students, parents/carers and our richly diverse community every day.
Research tells us that schools are one of the few remaining established social structures in our local communities accessed by all families. Communities are built on a sense of belonging. A sense of community is strongly fostered in children through attendance at their local school. We aim to nurture that sense of belonging in all students and their families. Thank you for taking the time to learn a little more about our campus as we demonstrate how we live our campus motto of 'Standing Tall' and our campus values of Respect, Responsibility, Integrity, Fairness.
Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College Tumbi Umbi Campus is one of two middle years campuses within TLSC, and a member of the celebrated Tuggerah Lakes Learning Community. Located in a picturesque bushland setting, TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus is a learning environment which students, staff, and community have collaboratively created since the site opened in 1997.
TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus successfully develops confident, socially responsible adolescents through quality, responsive and engaging learning experiences delivered in a middle school setting.
TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus prides itself on being recognised and awarded for consistently providing an inclusive environment where adolescent students achieve personal best in academic, cultural, sporting, environmental and community arenas at local, state and national levels.
Adolescence is a time to try new learning in a safe, supportive and inclusive environment, where clear, consistent, fair boundaries, high expectations, and personal recognition feature.
A strong sense of belonging permeates the campus, driving decision-making and planning. Innovative programs operate in a modern, safe facility developing the whole child, building strong relationships while ensuring excellence in all subject areas.
TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus staff are recognised as leaders in engaging students in the middle years, delivering quality education, modelling the importance of professional learning and using effective, current educational practices to engage students and support them to achieve personal best.
You are encouraged to seek direct contact with me if you require further information or clarification of anything presented on this site. I can be contacted on 02 4385 6802, or through email at tumbiumbi-h.school@det.nsw.edu.au.
We are proud of our achievements. I welcome you to join us so your child can also share those achievements, develop a strong sense of belonging, realise their hopes as we work together to satisfy your child's educational needs, your aspirations and prepare for their brightest future possible.
