Enrolling Year 6 to Year 7

As your child prepares to transition to high school, we understand that this is both an exciting and significant milestone for students and their families. Starting Year 7 brings new opportunities, experiences and challenges, and a positive transition is essential in helping students feel confident, connected and ready to learn.

At Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College Tumbi Umbi Campus, we are committed to ensuring every student feels welcomed, supported and prepared for high school life. Our comprehensive transition program is designed to help students become familiar with our campus, build relationships with staff and peers, and develop an understanding of the routines, expectations and opportunities available to them as members of our school community.

Throughout the year, students have opportunities to visit the campus, participate in transition activities, meet key staff members and student leaders, and engage in experiences that showcase the diverse learning opportunities available at Tumbi Umbi Campus. We work closely with our local primary schools and families to ensure that information is shared effectively and that individual student needs are identified and supported.

Our goal is to create a smooth and successful transition that fosters a sense of belonging, builds confidence and encourages students to embrace the increased independence and responsibility that comes with high school. By establishing strong connections before students begin Year 7, we aim to provide the foundation for a positive and rewarding secondary school experience.

School contributions

In NSW public schools, all financial contributions are voluntary. Every student has full access to the curriculum, regardless of whether contributions are made.
