Every teacher at Tumbi Umbi Campus has five core tasks all focused on quality teaching and quality relationships.
The five core tasks are:
- teach to the highest standard at all times
- learn what we don't know so we can all aim to achieve personal best for our students and ourselves
- leadership at all levels to take the campus forward
- continuous improvement is the norm
- relationships, relationships, relationships.
We undertake these five tasks within the context of Tuggerah Lakes Secondary College and our specific campus - Tumbi Umbi Campus.
Tumbi Umbi Campus ensures that its programs are targeted to supporting students accessing every possible learning opportunity. The supports for learning (PDF 336KB) document shows how we structure the campus's programs to meet the needs across the campus and within particular groups of students. The college has the following four areas as its strategic priorities
- maximise student engagement in learning to ensure the best possible educational outcomes
- continue to improve achievements for Aboriginal students
- strengthen the delivery of quality teaching through age-appropriate learning and pedagogy
- work with Tuggerah Lakes Learning Community and stakeholders to develop a Kindergarten to Year 12, and beyond, teaching and learning continuum.
Tumbi Umbi Campus translates the college strategic priorities into its two focus areas of quality teaching and quality learning.
