The campus has a clinic facility which is monitored closely. We are best able to support students when they are unwell when they follow these simple expectations:
- Students come to the administration office with a note from their teacher giving them permission to be out of class. This ensures that we know where students are at all times.
- Students are not to ring parents/carers to make arrangements to be picked up from the campus. It is our direct responsibility to do this.
- The clinic is for emergency use only and we ask that is a child is unwell before coming to school that day, that they be kept at home to recover.
- Our first aid officers can only administer simple first aid. They are not qualified nurses and therefore cannot treat serious illnesses.
- Where an illness or injury is deemed serious, the principal will organise for an ambulance to attend the student. When this decision is made, every effort is made to contact parents/carers and emergency contacts.
It is vital that every parent/carer ensures that the campus has current accurate contact details for themselves and nominated emergency contacts.
