Students must have an opportunity to show what they know and can do.
Literacy difficulties, physical disabilities, sensory disabilities, medical conditions, and diagnosed behaviour concerns should present little barriers when students are provided with multiple ways to demonstrate their learning.
However, where an assessment task/examination presents a barrier to students demonstrating their knowledge and skill then special provisions can be used. These include using blue paper, enlarged print, having a reader and/or writer, providing extra time and/or separate supervision.
Special provisions for external examinations must be applied for through NESA.
The campus learning support faculty and the learning support team oversee all applications for special provisions.
