TLSC Tumbi Umbi Campus runs a homework centre every Wednesday afternoon in the school library from 2:15pm to 3:45pm.
The Homework Centre is a place for students to complete homework, assignment tasks and gives students the opportunity to meet with teachers to discuss their work.
Staff at Tumbi Umbi Campus attend the Homework Centre on a voluntary basis and are available to help students. Teachers donate their time to develop student's understanding of concepts and any assistance they might require to further their education. Students may arrange for their specialist classroom teacher to also attend the homework centre.
Please contact the librarian if you want to encourage your child to attend this individualised program.
In order for the Homework Centre to be a success, we have arranged transport through the Red Bus Company, leaving at 4pm from the bus bay, travelling to Bay Village where students can then change to any other bus to get home. Students can use their bus pass for this trip. Students must ensure that the bus route is suitable for their needs.
The Red Bus Company has supported the homework centre by making the transport available and at no extra cost. We deeply appreciate their generous support.
The map below shows the route the 4:00pm bus takes. Students can also change at Bateau Bay Square for other buses.
