Today, our under 15's college basketball team delivered an outstanding performance in a hard-fought match against Gosford High School, showcasing not only skill and determination, but also exceptional teamwork and sportsmanship throughout the game.
Leading the charge was Dylan H, who put on a scoring clinic with a dominant 25-point effort. From the opening whistle, Dylan controlled the tempo of the game, finding space, hitting difficult shots, and applying relentless pressure on the opposition’s defence.
A key moment in the match came when Ryan B stepped off the bench and made an immediate impact. His energy shifted the momentum in our favour, and he contributed a crucial 10 points of his own, proving once again the depth and talent of our squad.
Under the rim, Berkeley Vale students Mattix K, and Osman G as well as Tumbi's own Max L were instrumental in securing vital rebounds on both ends of the court. Their physicality and commitment in the paint kept second-chance opportunities alive and denied Gosford High the ability to build momentum.
This was more than just an individual showcase — it was a full team performance. Every player on the court contributed to the win, whether through defensive hustle, sharp passing, or the vocal leadership of Cameron B. The team displayed great integrity consistently playing unselfishly, making smart decisions, and upholding sportsmanship from start to finish - final siren displaying 49-32, securing a 17-point win.
It was great to see such a turn out from parents and our broader community to watch and cheer on our boys and thank you to the TEAP basketball mentors for scoring the match and helping with equipment and warm up.
Today was a proud display of what our basketball program represents — effort, unity, and respect. Well done to all involved!
